An afternoon of sunshine, rain and gloom. Failed to get a Short Eared Owl but still managed some success down by Stone Creek.

Last Sunday we took advantage of a break in Ilkley to walk along the River Wharfe in Bolton Abbey Woods which is an excellent place for birdwatching and for walking.
In winter Mandarin Ducks congregate in quite large numbers along this stretch. I've seen up to eighty.
There's always a Robin around.
